We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the THEUS (Transmission and distribution Hybrid nEtworks with enhanced resilience and robUstnesS) project, funded by Horizon Europe, which will run for the next three years.
On September 25th 2024, project partners came together to Zaragoza to present the activities that will be implemented in the upcoming months. We aligned on key interdependencies, collaboration strategies, and laid the groundwork for a successful start.
The THEUS project supports the EU’s ambition to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 through the implementation of advanced tools for hybrid alternative current and direct current (AC/DC) across High, Medium, and Low Voltage levels. With real-world validation in three pilot sites and five use cases, THEUS will contribute to a more interoperable and resilient pan-European energy system, aiming for significant reductions in energy losses and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) costs.
Looking forward to working together and making impactful contributions to this innovative initiative!
